Christie King was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. She completed three years of undergraduate study at the University of South Carolina, and then transferred to the Medical University of South Carolina where she earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She currently resides in Charleston, South Carolina and works as a staff pharmacist for Wal-Mart.
Christie was first introduced to pageants at a young age. After attending a couple of pageants through the years, she went on to compete in her high school pageants and won the title of Miss Junior. She began dancing at the age of 3 and has trained in several styles including tap, clogging, ballet, and modern. She joined the Miss North Charleston and Miss Summerville Scholarship Committee in 2014 and has been an approved judge for the Miss South Carolina Scholarship Organization since 2016.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, traveling, cheering on the Gamecocks, and spending time with friends and family.
