Chaunte’ McLean is originally from Columbia, South Carolina but now calls the Lowcountry home. She works at a Corporate Communications Coordiator for a local Defense Contractor. Previously, she spent nearly 15 years working in the local television news industry, serving as a Executive Producer and News Producer. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina's School of Journalism and Mass Communications, where she also minored in Dance.
Chaunte’ competed in pageants for more than 10 years and held several different titles. She has also been judging pageants over the last 15 years all across the state. She first joined the Miss North Charleston & Miss Summerville Scholarship Board in 2013 and became the the Co-Local Executive Director in October 2017. She's on the approved list of judges with the Miss South Carolina Scholarship Organization. During her time as a director, she has helped young ladies finish in the Top 5, Top 10, and Top 15 along with winning non-finalist awards.
Chaunte’ was a competitive clogger for more than 16 years, competing with several teams in the Columbia area. She is a certified judge and rules rep with America’s Clogging Hall of Fame.
In her spare time, she enjoys camping, traveling, volunteering, being outdoors, and surrounded by loved ones, including her dog, Daisy.
